Your vehicle’s advanced safety features depend on precision. When a windshield is replaced, ADAS systems must be calibrated for optimal performance.
ClearShield delivers accurate, certified calibrations that keep your lane-assist, collision-warning, and other systems working exactly as they should.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include safety features such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Alert, Pedestrian Detection, and more. These systems rely on cameras and sensors “seeing” through your windshield correctly.
When the windshield is replaced or damaged, even slight misalignment can throw ADAS off—leading to false warnings, malfunctioning safety features, or even putting you at risk. That’s why a proper calibration after glass work isn’t just helpful—it’s essential for both your safety and to maintain your vehicle’s warranties.
We offer full service ADAS calibrations customized to your vehicle’s make, model, and system design. Our certified technicians handle both static and dynamic calibrations with precision.
Dynamic Calibration
Performed on the road. A technician drives your vehicle for typically 5-30 minutes, using road markings and conditions to reset camera angles and sensor readings to factory specification.
Static Calibration
Conducted either by mobile service at your desired location or at one of our shops. We use targets, laser projections, and scan tools to align the camera and sensors exactly as the manufacturer intended. This method is required for many newer or high-end vehicles.
• After a windshield replacement — any replacement that involves removing or repositioning the windshield or its frame.
• If you notice ADAS features behaving oddly: lane-keeping seems off, warning lights on the dashboard, adaptive cruise not holding correct distance.
• After front‐end collision or repair work that could affect camera/sensor mounting.
• As required by your manufacturer’s warranty guidelines (to protect your safety systems and keep warranty valid).
• Dynamic calibration: approx. 5-30 minutes (on road)
• Static calibration: approx. 30-60 minutes depending on vehicle, complexity, whether other alignment work is needed
Costs vary based on your vehicle’s year, make and model, and whether static or dynamic calibration is required. Some calibrations are included with windshield replacement; others have an additional charge. Call us for a free estimate. We also work with many insurance providers to help reduce your out-of-pocket expense.
ClearShield Auto Glass uses certified technicians trained in ADAS calibration methods per manufacturer standards. We employ the latest scan tools and calibration targets to ensure accuracy.
Our Warranty: For every windshield replacement done by us (and subsequent calibration), we stand behind our work with a lifetime warranty covering workmanship and material defects. Safety features must be right, not just good enough—so we don’t cut corners.
We serve Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky.
If your vehicle needs calibration after we replace your windshield—or even if you just want it verified—we can perform static calibrations at our shop. Dynamic calibrations typically require driving; we’ll coordinate with you to get it done on-road.
Need convenience? Our mobile replacement techs can often include calibration services depending on where you are. Contact us to see if your location is eligible.
