ADAS Windshield Calibrations
We offer full-service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations. These systems use a camera to allow your Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Alert, Pedestrian Alert, and Night Vision to function properly. This camera is located next to your rear view mirror and “looks” through your windshield as you drive. Whenever a vehicle with any of these features has a windshield replaced, a calibration is completely necessary to ensure safety. Depending on the year, make, and model of your vehicle, one of our trained technicians will complete either a dynamic or static calibration.
Dynamic Calibration
A dynamic calibration is done on the road and requires one of our licensed technicians drive the vehicle for 5 to 30 minutes while allowing our calibration system to properly recalibrate the camera. The camera will use the road lines as we drive to return the camera to its factory settings.
Static Calibration
A static calibration is done at our shop and requires setting up various markers, targets, and laser projections to ensure perfect alignment and system functionality. We confirm that the system is properly calibrated using a scan tool that allows our certified ADAS technician to know when the calibration has successfully completed.
